Mia Morris

Mia MorrisMia Morris is a Seattle based actor, director and theatre arts teacher. After attending the Professional Theater Training Program at the State University of New York-Purchase, she worked in NYC and New England. In the early 90’s, Mia moved to Seattle to co-found the award winning Open Circle Theatre; committed to developing new work, as well as unique adaptations, the theatre ran successfully for 18 years.  She is a repeat guest artist for the GPTC, as well as a guest artist for the New City Playwrights Festival and the New City Directors Festival.

Mia appeared with Seattle’s MAP Theatre in the premiere of The Feast by Celine Song. Mia was in a reading of Jami Brandli’s Bliss (or Emily Post is Dead!) at HERE Arts Center in NYC. Mia has directed The Sudden Glide, You Lost Me and I’m Sorry I brought up God for the GPTC. Other theatre credits include Irma in The Balcony, God in Poona the F**ck Dog, Jill in The Big Funk, Nell in Fen, Frau Bergmann in Spring Awakening, and Ronnie in at the vanishing point for the 2012 GPTC PlayFest.
