Great Plains Theatre Conference
M. Michele has been a contributor to the Great Plains Theatre Conference since it’s inaugural year. This spring she’s directing a collaborative effort commissioned by GPTC, featuring the work of 4 incredible artists—Kia Corthron, Ruth Margraff, Michael Garces and Scott Working. Michele has acted and/or directed in nearly every metro theatrical venue. Some of her award winning directorial efforts include We Are Proud To Present…, Clybourne Park, Doubt and Angels In America/Perestroika. She has appeared in over 50 plays, commercials, industrials, TV and film, and has provided character voices for Street Sharks, Archie’s Weird Mysteries and Dino Squad. She currently serves the Artists in the Schools program, and is an ensemble member of Respect and Why Arts. Michele teaches both TV and Film Screenwriting at University of Nebraska – Omaha, as well as Acting and Improv at the Omaha Community Playhouse. A graduate of UNO with a Bachelor of Arts/Dramatic Arts degree, Michele is currently a freelance writer/producer for City Desk Arts and is the Associate Artistic Director of SNAP! Productions.
