Isabelle Parzygnat was born and raised in a Polish household in Queens, NY where she grew up bilingual, speaking both Polish and English. Based in New York, she has worked primarily on the east coast on numerous theatrical and film productions. Projects have ranged in scope from a cast of 200, at The New York Public Theatre's Public Works working with designer Paul Carey to a cast of 2, at Peterborough Players production of Rounding Third directed by Gus Kaikkonen in New Hampshire. Recent costume designs include; Much Ado About Nothing, directed by Vik Sivalingam, Belleville, directed by Eric Ort, Picnic, directed by Richard Hamburger, Swimming in the Shallows directed by Keith Paul Medelis, and Home Free directed by Nick Cotz. Film credits include the 2014 Nollywood and African People's Choice Award for Favorite Short Film, J-12. Ms. Parzygnat plans to graduate from CUNY, Brooklyn College May 2016 with an MFA degree in Theatrical Design where she designs scenography with a specialization in costume design. Her undergraduate studies include a double major in Film Studies and Media Studies from CUNY, Queens College. Additional training includes draping and stitching techniques at the Fashion Institute of Technology, NYC and Polish language, history and literature at Uniwersytet Jagiellonski in Krakow, Poland.
