Great Plains Theatre Conference
Cheyenne Sykes is a multi-disciplinary designer and graduate of the University of Alberta’s BFA Theatre Design Program; there she trained in lighting, video, set, and costume design. She has recently relocated to New York City from Edmonton, Canada. This past summer Cheyenne had work displayed in the Canadian Student Section at the 2015 Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space. In the summer previous she served as an electrics intern at Williamstown Theatre Festival, acting as Assistant Master Electrician on their production of Fool for Love. This fall she started working as a studio intern for Justin Townsend. She is passionate and excited about continuing to work in both the Canadian and American theatre industries. Recent credits include: Assistant Lighting Designer for Ironbound (Rattlestick Playwrights Theater), Lighting/Costume Design for Underwater (Built for Collapse), Set Design for Rock and Roll Refugee (Royal Family Productions), Lighting/Set Design for The Seagull (Columbia University).
