Brian Bornstein

Brian BornsteinBrian Bornstein is a Professor of Psychology and Courtesy Professor of Law at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL), where he is Director of the UNL Law-Psychology program, the country’s oldest JD/PhD program. He grew up in Louisville, Kentucky before attending Duke University, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (Munich), and the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to coming to the University of Nebraska in 2000, he taught at Bucknell University and Louisiana State University. Most of his scholarly research is on jury decision-making and eyewitness memory, topics on which he has authored or edited 17 books and numerous scholarly articles. He is a member of the Angels Theatre Company in Lincoln, Nebraska. His plays have previously been produced by the Angels Theatre Company and KZUM Radio. Besides writing, his hobbies are tennis, cooking, and reading. He and his wife, Christie Emler, have two daughters, Lillian (19) and Melissa (16).
